I’m pear shaped and I want to loose some weight, but only from the hips down. I have very skinny arms and quite a flat stomach, but my legs and ass are disproportioned. I don’t want to go on a regular diet because I only want to loose weight from the hips down. I thought about going to the gym, but I’m worried that if I go to the regularly and use the threadmills / excersize bikes that my legs will get muscly. Any suggestions?

I was in a similar situation not too long ago. I needed to lose some weight for the summer.

One headline will read: "Lose 35 pounds By October 1" or "Diet Secrets Revealed- lose those stubborn pounds". Then right next to that headline, a picture of a decadent dessert: "Tripple Chocolate Lard Cake- Make This Cake Tonight- Recipe Inside"
What does this say about American women that this same pattern keeps repeating itself on these magazines month after month- obviously people are buying them! What are your thoughts about that?
