I was given a recipe for home made weight loss cat food and am thinking about doing it for my fatty and the other two not so fatty. Here are the ingredients. Are there other things I should be adding so that they aren’t missing something vital like taurine.
Meat, Rice, Veggies or bran, Oil, Calcium, Bone meal or eggshell powder.
Then it says Cat Vitamins. Not sure if it means those are the Bone meal or if I have to find them somewhere. Please help and thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
Tell whomever gave you the recipe that they have no clues about cats.
You want to do homemade, it needs to be a raw diet specially prepared. You would need a grinder. If you want to do this you can email me for links
In the meantime all your cats can eat the same thing, proper food for the species. If so, the problem will disappear

Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingredient a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things?

Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Male cats are especially prone to blockages
from dry food. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with grains and carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process. ( Have a fat cat?)
Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don’t use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.

You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn’t have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all.
THE BEST CAT FOODS CONTAIN NO GRAINS NO BYPRODUCTS
Cats are meat eaters not cereal or rice eaters
Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. I would rather feed a middle grade canned food then the top of the line dry food.

i know some are unsafe……im just asking…..whats the best weight loss pill you have tried?
2 be real honest i think they are all a bunch of bologna ive lost a whole personn by using smaller plates i started out with a 12 inch plate 2 eat with 4 2 weeks then went 2 a 8 in 4 2 more then a 6 in 4 2 the final was a 4 in the final u can go down 2 tea sausers if want 2 loose more u fill those plates up what it does isd trick the mind in2 thinking that u have had a lot 2 eat wherebasically u did not im going 4 another 25 on top of the100 ive lost 2 date it doesent happen over nigh it took over 6 mts i also drink loads of water i drinkup 2 6 12 oz bottles of water a day now it did takea while 2 loose it all im happy except 4 the next 25 still more 2 go and want 2 loose i want 2 schive this before the holidays roll around. please dont take pills cause all they put in the box is a schule 4 u 2 follow and u pay the bifg bucks 4 remember what works may not work 4 others in fact i have told a fewof my very close friends this and they do it now and are finally showing results and arevery very happy thats whay my goal was 2 let others know how i shed the excess weight off and hope fully i will be able2 keep it off 4 a long long time good luck

i am thirteen years old and do a lot of sports such as gymnastics, basketball, softball, and swimming. I am in pretty good shape but would like to loose a little weight from my hips and thighs. I weigh approximately 102 lbs. When i loose the weight i would also like to gain some muscle so i can be a stronger and better athlete!
You can have anything, you can’t have everything. What are your priorities? Are you planning to compete or go for athletic scholarship? Then you will lose study time and social time. My idol is someone who was a teacher-for-life, but he was only a teacher for three years, then he was killed. The few moments of peace he had were spoiled by one of his best friends, who thought the guy should be working even harder. and enjoying less.

Am planning on drinking three shakes a day and my height is 5′10 and my weight is 180 and am 19.
How much would I lose doing this for a month? And what should be my goal weight? Someone told me 125 should but I want other opinions too.

don’t do that!!! it is very bad!! follow a sensible diet and take a Multi-vitamin everyday. also, about your ? for losing 100lbs in a month. WHY???? you want to weigh 80 pounds??? that is crazy. not many grown women weigh that much!!! the ones that do are like 4′11”- 5′2” and some of them look malnurishhed (very bad thing). you should only want to lose 30-40lbs and 50 AT THE MOST. anyway, keep your head up
